Who Should Apply?

Students currently enrolled in the following undergraduate or postgraduate courses at Indian universities:

  • BSc/BCA/MCA (Computer Science/IT)
  • BSW/MSW (Medical & Psychiatry)B
  • MSc/MA Psychology done after BSs/BA psychology
  • BA/MA Journalism

Additionally, fresh graduates seeking post-qualification internships or students looking for fieldwork, internship, or project opportunities are encouraged to apply.

A monthly stipend will be provided to cover the full tuition fees and similar expenses for your course, based on the Indian Government’s standard fee structure. Please note that this stipend is not applicable to the fee structure of private institutions or deemed universities. A fee cap applies.

  • This stipend is designed to support some of your study related expenses while you gain valuable experience.

Essential Requirements:

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • IAAMHP membership or similar professional body membership (excluding IT/Journalism students)
  • Access to high-speed internet and familiarity with communication apps like Zoom, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Skype
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and social media platforms
  • Required documents: Bona fide letter, Student ID, Aadhar/OCI card, and Course enrollment certificate

Note: Open only to Indian citizens or those holding an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card.

Key Responsibilities:

During your internship, you will be involved in various aspects of social work and mental health advocacy. Key tasks include:

  • Supporting admin work and team coordination
  • Assisting in workshops, seminars, and educational sessions related to social work
  • Providing online counselling, research assistance, and contributing to human rights advocacy
  • Assisting with the publication of articles and research papers
  • Social work journalism, contributing to reports on community welfare and mental health issues
